Welcome to the Competency-Based Monitoring & Evaluation Training Program, a transformative 6-week online learning experience designed for multi-sectoral professionals as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s level students in Monitoring & Evaluation and related fields, aiming to enhance their practical and analytical competencies in M&E.

 

This program is proudly delivered by certified specialists from the Mobile Facilitation Team (MOFATE), a leading platform in advancing professional capacity through innovation, digital learning, and practical skill-building.

 

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) has become a cornerstone of effective planning, performance management, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making across sectors, particularly in health, development, and public policy. In Tanzania and across Sub-Saharan Africa, demand for skilled M&E professionals continues to grow due to expanding national programs (e.g., health systems strengthening, Universal Health Coverage, results-based financing).

Despite the increasing number of training offered still the issues of competency gaps between theory and practical, particularly in:
– Practical application of M&E tools and systems
– Designing and setting M&E System
– M&E Data analysis, interpretation and reporting for continuous improvement
– Use of digital M&E platforms
– Linking M&E and other interventions (Planning, Project, Program and other cross-cutting issues)
The Competency-Based M&E Training (CBMET) is designed to bridge this gap by complementing
academic learning with hands-on, practice-oriented, and industry-aligned skills development.
